PABLITO'S LIFE

UnityC#OOPDesign Patterns

A building game developed to explore software architecture and programming patterns within an interactive game environment.

Technical Challenges

The primary challenge was ensuring deep modularity. Tightly coupled code was avoided in favor of strict Object-Oriented principles, allowing elements to be built, destroyed, modified, and rebuilt dynamically without frame drops or logic overlap. The abstract factory pattern was employed to create families of related or dependent objects without specifying their exact classes. The builder pattern facilitated the construction of complex objects step by step.

Systems Developed

A core build system was developed, using a grid layout in 3D space, which allowed the player to build, destroy, and modify game objects in real-time. A season system was also implemented to add environmental changes according to the player's needs.
